COVID-19 LVCIL Status Update

Update April 23, 2020

Dear LVCIL Consumers and Friends,

While our office is still closed to the public under Gov. Wolf’s stay at home order, we continue to be here for you during this difficult time to provide essential services.

As of April 23, our Sign Language Interpreter Referral Service and Financial staff are working from the building at 713 North 13th St. in Allentown. Our Transition and Employment coaches continue supporting consumers in the field, though new referrals have been put on hold. Waiver participants may reach out to their supports coordinator and consumers looking for Core/Housing needs can contact their community supports coordinator, who are working remotely. Furthermore, information and referral services are still available.

While our building is not open to the public, our Peer Support Group is meeting virtually three times a week. Adaptations, S2L and Community Club have also continued meeting virtually.

Please feel free to reach out to our staff, as they are still available via email and/or phone. Stay tuned for updates and check out our social media for more information.

Sincerely,

Amy C. Beck
Executive Director

Dear Friends of LVCIL,

While we are considered an essential business under Governor Wolf's ordder, we are taking extra precautions to ensure the safety of our employees and consumers. As such, our office is still closed to the public, and we are not holding any group gatherings for the time being. We will be so excited to see you all again and reopen our doors.

In the meantime, we want to continue being there for you in this difficult time. Please feel free to reach out to our staff, as they are still available via email and/or phone. We are working hard to schedule electronic group calls so everyone has a way to keep in touch with each other, and we hope to have them up and running soon. Stay tuned for updates, and check out our social media for more information. And please, take every precaution for your wellness. We will get through this!
