Brian Rogers, Community Accessibility Program Coordinator
Brian Rogers has over 24 years of experience in Civil Engineering as it relates to the ADA and accessibility. He is a part of the Mid-Atlantic ADA Leadership Network and has been through an extensive training on accessibility standards and site surveying with Mark Derry of Eastlake Derry and Associates. In addition, he has twenty years of teaching experience with children with disabilities, five of those as a PA registered teacher.
Bob Amelio, Accessibility Support Coordinator
Bob Amelio has 28 years life experience with a mobility disability which gives a unique perspective. He has been performing accessibility surveys and ADA trainings for the past 14 years, and is a member of the Mid-Atlantic ADA Leadership Network. Bob has been through several extensive trainings on accessibility standards and site surveying with Mark Derry of Eastlake Derry and Associates. He is a Certified Accessibility Inspector/Plans Examiner.
Brian and Bob have performed over 70 site surveys and prepared detailed reports on outdoor recreation facilities, hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, government facilities, churches, universities, art galleries, private homes, private clubs, trails and trail heads, swimming pool facilities, etc.
Brian and Bob have performed over 60 trainings on numerous topics including disability sensitivity, trail design, curb ramp design, ramp design, how to make common accessibility changes and more.
Brian and Bob are recognized contributors to the PA Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan and are recognized by the PA Department of Conservation Natural Resources as experts on accessible trail design.
